Finally managed to move things forward!

I'm out of work at the moment which you'd think would give me more time but is sadly having the opposite effect. Reality is harsh - like you needed me to tell you - and while I'd love nothing more than to focus wholesale on this fantasy I'm having to chase down future employment which is all in all an exhausting process. If there are more holdups take my word for it; it isn't for lack of interest in finishing this issue.

As to the page itself the 'dragon' originally had way more dialogue here but it ended up detracting from the atmosphere. Sometimes a lunge out of the dark really doesn't need narration... Anyhow, am feeling re-enthused so I'll try not to have such an embarrassing hiatus before I update again!

The times I've been out of work were also the times I was the most unproductive art wise. Time is not that helpful when you're anxious and what not. I hope you find something soon!

That page is really great. I love the monster reaching for the knight!

The reaching motion wasn't even planned, but when it came down to it I just knew monster hands were in order!

Thanks for the thoughts on the work situation too :)

He was right.. That's not a dragon. It's something even worse ;)

Best luck on your search for work.

Figured it might be apparent at this point with the decidedly human scale hands, answers are coming...

Cheers for the luck!

Oh man look at its gaping, empty eyes. Looks wonderfully creepy, love it!

I love your layout and design for each scene and the way you place emphasis on certain key elements for dramatic effect, like those big 3D hands in panel two, and the glowing, fire breathing face in the last panel!

Cheers chris-tar; I really like it when things break frame in comics at key moments to give the faux-3d effect you mention! This page is one of my favourites :)
